Insanity Day 19:

In playing catch-up, I decided to switch today’s workout with the Plyometric Cardio Circuit that I missed on Sunday. I didn’t want to have to do that one 2 days in a row, you know? I will do today’s Cardio Power & Resistance tomorrow, then the Plyometric Cardio Circuit again on Friday. Make sense? Yeah, not to me either really, but somehow it all works out to me being back on track. Word to the wise: DON’T BORROW REST DAYS! Nineteen days down, 44 left to go!

Insanity Day 18:

So Insanity Day 18 fell on a Tuesday and Tuesday’s are Cardio Recovery days! It is truly like stretching J I’ve got to say, it is a real treat to have a non-aerobic workout every week. I can’t wait for recovery week! Eighteen days down, 45 left to go!

Insanity Day 17:

I swear I posted this day but now it is conveniently MIA…better luck next time (assuming I am insanely crazy for a second time in my life)!

Insanity Day 16:

I apologize immensely for my absence from blogging this weekend. From trying not to get sick to watching the Super Bowl with my entire Seattle fam-damn-ly (GO SEAHAWKS!), I have been lax on staying up-to-speed with Insanity. After tomorrow, though, I will only be 1 behind WHICH I plan to make-up on Friday aka rest day. Pure Cardio was very difficult per the usual. Since I was slightly under the weather, I ended up shaving 10 minutes. BUT I did do cardio abs which I thoroughly enjoyed. I think I enjoyed it more for the novelty of different workout than for the workout itself. OR maybe because it was only 17 minutes :) Anywho, I will post the results of my fit test tomorrow! Playing catch-up with Insanity is no fun! Sixteen days down, 47 left to go!

It’s a great day for a beach stroll!

Insanity Day 12:

Alright people, short post tonight. I did it, it’s done and it stunk! To be honest, I actually did cut the workout 10 minutes short. I think I need to change up the music selection…too much of Insanity’s chosen beat is only proving to get on my nerves a bit. It is very un-motivational, if you ask me. On a more positive note, twelve days down, 51 left to go!

For real :)

For real :)

Insanity Day 11:

WHEW! Done J While I would not exactly say Cardio recovery is easy, it is definitely a much needed break midway through the Insanity week and one that will have me loving every Tuesday workout until the 63 days are over. The best part about it, my friends – no cardio! I do hate the one move though where you start on all fours, lift your knees only 3 inches off the floor, extend one leg back and then pulse with the glut…that one SUCKS. But overall, this would have to be my favorite of month one’s workouts (fit test excluded). This might be because it is the shortest as well…Eleven days down, 52 left to go!

Ain’t that the truth!

Insanity Day 10:

Into the double digit days, baby, and so happy I made it this far! I did NOT want to do today’s workout after working all day. I am not quite sure where the motivation came from to put it on because it was the one I hate the most – Plyometric Cardio Circuit. In the morning, my body automatically gets up with little influence from my brain which means there is no opportunity to talk myself out of the workout. The evening, however, is the true test of drive because my mind is talking me down six ways to Sunday and my body is tired. It’s hard to feel motivated against those odds! Whatever driving force it was that got me to put in the DVD and complete the entire 42 minute workout is a miracle, I tell you. Ten days down, 53 left to go!

Insanity Day 9:

Pure Cardio, done! AND without fast forwarding, too! I can’t wait until I can get through an entire workout without inserting my own breaks in between his…that’ll be the day! I did feel my back twinge on the switch kicks, so I am going to have to watch out for those suckers. I am tired now, but my body is energized to keep hope alive and march on. It is weird because I was sure that I would want to quit by now and would have to threaten myself to continue. Not wanting to quit yet :) One day at a time, right? Nine days down, 54 left to go!

Insanity Day 8:

Since yesterday (Friday) was my day off, I applied it to blogging as well – the weary and exhausted shalt not write on her day of rest. Today’s workout was challenging but, where last time I had to fast forward 5 minutes, this time I made it the full forty! I had to modify some of the jumping moves – while Shawn T may be hopping over invisible hurdles, Ashley P is just praying her feet get at least one centimeter of jump clearance…my abilities have to get better, right? Eight days down, 55 left to go!
